Praising God for His Goodness
Each month this ministry supports an Orphanage in India which has approximately 20 - 25 children some stay and some go according to funds received. Our ministry is a small ministry in the sense of financial wealth, it has never been a wealthy ministry in that regard, but out of the little we have been given in support from our partners and periodic friends of the ministry we have been able to support this Orphanage consistently for going on three years., overall we have been supporting them since 2007.
The fortunate thing is that I have been able to meet these Orphans personally, and to meet those who care for them. They are doing all they can to provide clothing, shelter, food, and education for these beautiful children which have been abandoned for one reason or another. It is one of the things which gives me pleasure in this present life. They are truly dependent upon the constant support we are able to send them and we are praising God today that we’ve been loyal and able.
We also contribute to the needs of the poor and needy in our community too, through donating money and goods to organizations which help those in desperate need. Giving is never out of style or season, for it is more blessed to give than to receive, but one needs to receive in order to give. This is called the principle of seedtime and harvest, it’s a wonderful biblical concept, and it works. When we help to meet the needs of others, God will help us meet our needs. I praise God that I have found this principle which was taught to me years ago, still a viable part of my life which is still producing blessings in the lives of so many.
Unfortunately there are some who think just because you don’t give to their particular ministry or outreach; it is being sanctimonious or hypocritical; not really caring about them, but they are not being realistic. One can only do so much with what they have, and one should always pray about where God would have them sow. This is a key element in sowing and reaping, God is the Lord of the Harvest, but we are the labors and we should listen to the Lord when it comes to sowing in his Kingdom. Praise the God for his Goodness endures forever!
