DECISIONS IN THE HEAT OF LIFE
Choices change our lives in many ways. Everyday we make simple and complex decisions. Some decisions are so sublimable, subjective, and intuitive that we don’t even realize that we’ve made them. Why because we are to quote a phrase “ fearfully and wondrously made “. God has so integrated our physical and mental constitution that they are virtually inseparable. Even as a person thinks they move with the ease and grace physically as body and mind work in unity. This is the state of a sound mind and healthy body.
However man in all the glory of his created state is still finite. Especially when it comes to making decisions which effect the world outside the realm of their own mind and body. One can flow in an ability to maintain their own lives concerning obtaining food, shelter, and clothing if they have the means and resilience of mentality and agility of a healthy body. But the fact one’s existence is dependent upon the sovereignty of a supreme being weighs into the overall human experience.
This is where many times in life the dynamics of interview and overview come into play. In our humanity which again is finite or limited we have an interview so to speak, it is up close and personal, but this view is limited we cannot see past the next few minutes especially when times which put pressure upon us that depress us ultimately causing despondency and irrational decisions as the result. When one is unregenerate by the Spirit they are left to the finiteness of their mental capacity.
God is infinite or unlimited by our space/time continuum. He stands outside of it and sees it all from his domain. What qualifies him to be God is his ability to know all things at all times because he is eternally present, he has the overview. He knows the end from the beginning and all that is in between. When we are led by his Spirit the Spirit of Truth, Wisdom, and Knowledge we are walking by faith and not by sight. This imparted faith is guided through different dynamics: the engrafted Word, the indwelling Spirit, an inspired Unction, an imparted Manifestation, or through an Anointed Leader to name a few.
Faith is a dynamic which is under constant development, it has the ability to grow. Just as we grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord. We mature spiritually by learning to live by the supernatural function of faith. Not faith in faith, but faith in God who imparts faith, the ability to trust when every sense and all our natural knowledge speaks to us to the contrary. A faith that knows it is fueled and led by the Spirit of God is a faith that does not have to see before it knows that the outcome is already assured because of the overview of an infinite and sovereign God. Anything that is God’s sovereign will is a sure thing, because God has decreed it. When we operate by the leading of the Spirit we develop a spiritual hearing ear to know by the Spirit what to do concerning the pressures of life. Hence we begin to make decisions based upon all these factors of faith.
Making decisions based upon the different aspects of God’s will because we understand God’s word. We learn that there are generalities that apply to all the body of Christ, we learn what is acceptable and unacceptable to God or in other words God’s perfect will, then we learn God’s sovereign will; what applies specifically to us, and are guided to make decisions accordingly. If we are precognitive of these different factors it will keep us in the presence of God in an intimate relationship which results in personal revelation for the decisions which the more heated experiences of life bring our way. Hence; we will learn to be preemptive and therefore more successful and victorious in the battles which confront each of us, and become seasoned in our faith and decision making capabilities.
Brethren keep the faith today by pressing into the presence of the Lord, you will find him waiting for you there. He enjoys our company and he loves to share the riches of his wisdom, love, and power with us. There is joy unspeakable and full of glory in the presence of the Most High God.
