GULLIBILITY IN THE BODY
Some people are easily manipulated because of their own subjectivity. Hence they are easily influenced into thinking, feeling, and imaging an alter-reality because of an innate alter-ego and or belief system based upon false assumptions. Once an artful charlatan perceives this in a person or group he can easily construct a scheme to scam them into believing he is something other than he presents himself.
Unfortunately there are many within the body of Christ who have become more the conjurers of deception than the conveyers of the gospel of truth. Many of these pretenders can quote scriptures and have persuasive messages and methods that seem to lend credence to their “ so-called “ ministries. Many of them are talented singers and or musicians, and dynamic speakers, but within them beats a dark heart of deception which usually has money as the motive for their ministry’s existence.
Paul the Apostle spoke to this issue in the early church, concerning men masquerading themselves as ministers of God.
(12) But I will persist in the same line of conduct in order to cut the ground from under the feet of those who desire an opportunity of getting themselves recognized as being on a level with us in the matters about which they boast.
(13) For men of this stamp are sham apostles, dishonest workmen, assuming the garb of Apostles of Christ.
(14) And no wonder. Satan, their master, can disguise himself as an angel of light.
(15) It is therefore no great thing for his servants also to disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will be in accordance with their actions. 2nd Corinthians 11:12-15 WNT
So-called ministers of this sort always seem to have deceptive guises in the form of gimmicks that are suppose to be the works of God. Their motive is money but they mask it with the mystique mastery of their quackery that promises the miraculous favor of God. The more people they are able to beguile the more people will come to their defense when their darkness is exposed by the true light of the genuine gospel that doesn’t need the quackery of a charlatan to see the hand of God move in the midst of his people.
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12 KJV
Notwithstanding there are those in the body of Christ whom are dynamic, who are gifted and talented in different areas who bring a different favor to the gospel when they minister its true. The spirit of discernment was given to us to be able to discern when a word or work is truly originating from the Holy Spirit who anoints all God’s vessels to minister according to their gifts and calling. Unfortunately there are so many who will not use this innate ability to truly discern when someone is genuine or false. Because they are into the subjectivity of their own mentalities. I have learned much of this message through personal experience. I have also found this to be true; concerning following false prophets, or adhering to false doctrine:
If God can’t convince someone they believe falsely and are on their way to hell, the bible says of a heretic after one tries to enlighten them a second time, to reject such a person. I am a watchman on the wall, it is my duty to warn people of impending dangers to their spiritual vitality. Jesus said if they didn’t receive him, they wouldn’t receive his disciples either, so after a second attempt to bring truth were false doctrines are embraced, I will keep the command to shake off the dust as a witness against them, and keep preaching truth were it will be received gladly.
