Overcome
Ignorance kills people every day when it could have been prevented through searching out the proper knowledge. Enlightenment is a responsibility the redeemed are given to speak light into the lives of those in darkness. One thing about being a disciple is being disciplined by the Word and Spirit of God. When a disciple shares the word of God in a hostile environment it is not readily accepted; but once the word is spoken; it shall not return unto God void or nulled; but it shall accomplish the very thing God intended. The Holy Spirit is the enforcer; the disciple is only charged with the responsibility to declare it.
James the Apostle in his letter to those who had been sown throughout the world spoke of one standing in front of a mirror and beholding themselves seeing what their image looked like then walking away not remembering how they looked. It was preferring to the word of God and how we read its content but promptly forget it as soon as we’re through reading it. Then he went on to describe those who heard the word but did not apply the word to their lives.
Brethren; God gave us the word to work it to our own benefit and to the benefit of others around us. Application is the greatest key when it comes to workable knowledge. Faithfulness is an attribute of our love toward Christ our redeemer. When we learn to walk in the knowledge of the living word of God and exercise our faith accordingly; victory over the flesh, the world, and the devil will become our portion in life. Fear is the parent sin of many sins in the world in which we live. When we allow fear to be our guiding factor its children will be our downfall. Fear opens of many portals of emotions that undermine the word of God and causes us to sin against our Lord and our faith.
Let me encourage you to read and heed the word of God every day and then learn to apply it by praying to God for insight and guidance. This may not be something deep; but it will take you to a deeper relationship with God and the fruit of that relationship causes our faith to be paramount. So many people; have forsaken the very elemental routines which kept them strong and abiding in faith that makes them overcomers. Brethren; I encourage you today to look in the mirror again and remember what manner of person you and to become doers of the word and not hearers only! Selah >{{{{{{{*>
