Ray Ritchie STRIVING FOR PERFECTION PRACTICALLY
Can any among us say they’ve never made a mistake, or fallen to a temptation of some sort, and maybe fudged a little concerning the truth, the Christian lifestyle is not about being perfect, its about striving for perfection. Positionally we are already perfect through blood of Jesus, practically we are working out our salvation by recognizing our weaknesses, faults, and failures; then applying the word of God through the power of the Spirit to those areas.
God is a God of restoration, unfortunately people are of the nature of condemnation, however, once an individual recognizes they are missing the mark, or falling short of the intended goal; then repent, we which are spiritual are suppose to restore such a one in the spirit of meekness and consider ourselves humble lest we fall prey to the same things through our loftiness, haughtiness, and rigidity. Pride still goes before destruction, and haughtiness bef...ore a fall.
Just as Christ forgave us for our sins, we must forward that grace to others when they are repentant for their sins. A willingness to forgive when asked for it, is the mark of a true Christian. In this way we will also perfect our spiritually.
Shalom & Agape, Apostle Ray.
