As A Loving Father.
Because of current circumstances in the world today, it is important for people to know that we have a loving Father in our God and, that He is ever ready to listen to our prayers. The Almighty is the supplier of all our needs, and is the source of our physical, as well as our spiritual well-being. Many of the Psalm’s are examples of how believing people can rely upon The Lord as their helper and protector. Psalm 46:1 states: "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble." Is it possible for you and I to utter these words with total confidence? Can we say that God is our complete source of strength, whether it be physical, emotional or spiritual?
Because of our busy lives it is easy to forget that we have a loving Father in God whom we can turn to in prayer. Scripture reminds us by stating: “You are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble" (Psalm 59:16) While Psalm 55:22 promises: “Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you." Down through history God’s people have always know that they can run to Him in their time of need. So what about today, do you and I consider The Lord our refuge in times of our need? When trouble’s invade our lives do we fret and allow them to overwhelming us, or on the other hand, do we turn to God in prayer seeking His help? If our knowledge of The Lord is that of a loving Father who will hear, and answer our prayers, we will daily turn to Him with confidence.
Do you know God as a Loving Father? Have you gone to Him for the greatest miracle that can be experienced in any persons life? I refer to redemption, when a sinner receives forgiveness and new life. It is after experiencing salvation, and acknowledging Jesus as our Savior, that we become children of the Most High God, and desire to give Him praise as 1 Peter 1:3-4 encourages:
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you,”
Today, let us rejoice in the Lord as our Loving Father.
