FAITH TO LIVE BY
Faith is a fact but faith is an act! Lets talk about a faith that gets results!
16: Now this I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
17: For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these things are opposed to each other, so that you cannot do those things you wish to do.
18: But if you are led by the Spirit, you are. Galatians 5:16-18
Patience is enduring, expecting, coping with life’s problems until they’re resolved!
22: But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith,
23: Meekness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
24: But those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.
25: If we live by the Spirit, we should also be walking by the Spirit. Galatians 5: 22-25
Today I am dealing with the topic of long suffering. One translation calls it endurance; which is ability to withstand suffering or hardship.
It’s an aspect of the fruit of the Spirit and infused in us at our rebirth in the spirit!
How do we stay strong in the Spirit? Answer: prayer in the Spirit and believing that God answers prayer!
Perseverance in prayer believing God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him, because faith is those things hoped for and the substance or evidence of those by their manifestation.
The Bible teaches us to “walk by faith not by sight”. Some trials bring unbelief to our minds; but faith causes us to know that He who is invisible can do the miraculous, the impossible, and unthinkable! He is able and prayer builds that kind of faith! Selah
