Right or Wrong
In our times we are seeing the worst of the worst happening to our country and it has many on edge and some are even frantic. However we must remember as Christians we cannot allow what is happening to overwhelm our faith in Christ to sustain us. He is supernatural and we are natural concerning our state of being and our affairs concerning our dependency to a certain degree. Yet we rely upon Christ to sustain us spiritually, mentally, physically, socially, and financially.
When the world is depending upon the natural to meet its needs; we can rest assured in the supernatural power of God to meet us at the point of every need. He who made the gold can provide finance; he who made the cattle can provide food; he who made man can provide healing; he who made the first couple can provide family; and he who made the sacrifice can provide the promises of God. One may say; yes but didn’t God give man wisdom to bring about provision, health, and social dynamics? The answer is an emphatical yes! However the same God is supernatural and can do the impossible; he does miracles of every kind to the benefit of his glory. God says “I Am that I Am” meaning ever-present and then he says “I Am the God that heals you”.
When it comes to serving the Lord our prayers are only significant when our motives are right. When our motives are wrong; God sees it and doesn’t answer our prayers. Even when it comes to spreading the gospel motive matter; because God tests the heart; he also tests and approves or disapproves us.
But as God tested and approved us before entrusting us with His Good News, so in what we say we are seeking not to please men but to please God, who tests and approves our motives. 1st Thessalonians 2:4 Weymouth
It’s very plain to see that we are living in a time when what is right is considered wrong; and what is wrong is considered right by the world. It has always been this way since Adam fails in the Garden of Eden. Cain considered the sacrifice of Able wrong because Cain was self-centered. Since the fall; man has been born carnal and self-motivated for his own self-interest. Since God is a Spirit and desires spiritual worship which involves self-denial; our motives must be pure in approaching him.
God is Spirit; and those who worship Him must bring Him true spiritual worship." John 4:24 Weymouth
God confers a trust to us concerning the gospel, the gifts, and the growth of our spiritual being. A strong spiritual relationship builds a strong faith in our supernatural God.
Now faith brings our hopes into reality and becomes the foundation needed to acquire the things we long for. It is all the evidence required to prove what is still unseen. Hebrews 11:1 TPT
Our credence in God creates confidence in God and becomes evidence that the unseen can be seen through what is manifest by God. When our hearts are faith filled and our motives are right; prayer changes the dynamic of dysfunction into function.
“Ask, and the gift is yours. Seek, and you’ll discover. Knock, and the door will be opened for you.
For every persistent one will get what he asks for. Every persistent seeker will discover what he longs for. And everyone who knocks persistently will one day find an open door. Matthew 7:7-8 TPT
I’ve said it often: where there is a promise in the word there is a condition in the world. Every promise has a duty attached to it. We’ve got to believe before we can receive; faith is not only word but action as well. Brethren let us be right in motive and pure in heart before the throne of grace where mercy and grace; salvation, healing, and deliverance are bestowed upon the children of light. Selah
