Praise the Lord
Our God is worthy to be praised and adored. Let me preach to the choir a little bit today!
Since 1987 I have been trying to serve the Lord in Spirit and Truth; however I have slipped more than a few times and failed the Lord, my family, and my children. But when I came to myself; just like the prodigal son; I also realized what I was missing in the Father’s household; which is the Kingdom of God!
Today I am rejoicing with the joy of the Lord who redeems all who come to him repentant and with godly sorrow. Last night I had a dream that I was elected mayor of a city and that I was to fly a flag of scriptures which were the 42nd chapter of Ezekiel and the 42nd chapter of Isaiah. The first is about the coming temple in Jerusalem and the priestly duties of the priesthood. The priests who engage in the priesthood basically were presented as those who were consecrated by the Lord and positioned in the temple services putting the secular aside and allowing the priesthood to meet all their needs. Another point was they were supposed to be holy and above reproach. In other words they were supposed to live a higher standard in their service to God.
In Isaiah we see that the chapter starts with the Son of Jehovah that would be made a covenant for God’s people and a light to the Gentiles. It also points out the fact that Israel would not hear or see when Jesus came to them.
But; to those of us who have received Christ we have become new creatures with a new nature and a new song!
(4) He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.
(5) Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:
(6) I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;
(7) To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.
(8) I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
(9) Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them. Isaiah 42:4-9 KJV
Brethren we can trust a God who declares things to come and they happen in their appointed time. If God has truly declared something to you it shall happen at its appointed time; even you try to push it into existence it will not manifest unto God makes it manifest. So in our patience we possess our souls and grow in the faith and knowledge of Jesus Christ becoming more like Christ. Never try to force a green tree; its fruit will be bitter and will be spewed out of his mouth! Selah
