*_WINNING GOD'S APPROVAL!!!_*
And the Lord said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;
Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?
For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment; that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.
- Genesis 18:17-19.
Winning God's approval is the greatest thing that can happen to us after our salvation experience on this side of eternity!
It is coming to a point in our relationship with God, when He is pleased with me to the point of confiding in me, sharing with me what He wants to do even when the issues is not directly about me, in fact becoming God's gist partner is the greatest and the sweetest thing that can happen to a mortal man on this side of eternity!
Winning God's approval is coming to a point when God is favourably disposed towards you, it is the point of being the apple of God’s Eyes, that whoever touches you touches the apple of God’s eyes. It is the point where God will rebuke men on your behalf, it is the point where God becomes an enemy to your enemies and those who fights against you, halleluiah!!!
There are few examples in the scriptures of those who came to this point of their relationship with God, where it was God Himself who speaks of them and defend them and He is proud of them to others, one of such examples is the man Abraham.
Abraham has come to a point in his relationship with God and in his walk with God that God Himself said;
"...Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;
Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?
For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment; that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him."
The critical point of prayers for this moment is the testimony of God about him, when God said; "For I know him, that he will command..."
It is cleared here that God knows every one of us believers, but the question is, what did God knew you for? As for Abraham, God knew him that he will command his children after him to keep the way of the Lord. When the scriptures says "he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord" this means he is taking the lead, giving example of how to obey God and on how to keep the way of the Lord. He is not just to command, but he will lead the way in that campaign of obeying and keeping the way of the Lord.
Believer in Christ Jesus, what is the testimony of God over your life? What did knows about you? What will God say about you in relation to your family, in relation to your children as parents? What will God say about you in relation to your work or business? will God be confident that you will not disappoint Him in that work or business?
What will God say about you in relation to your school and all the vices in your school as a student? What will God say about you as a brother in relation to sisters and female friends? Will God be careful in bringing sisters close to you? Or will God say I know him that he will not tamper with that sister if she goes close to him.
Man of God! What will God say about you in relation to your life and your work as a man of God?
This is the critical issue that every one of us must ask ourselves and also cry for mercy. Let's pray that God will show us mercy, the mercy that makes a man to win His approval. Though it will be great and important for us to trace the paths that took Abraham to win God's approval but knowing and learning paths without obtaining mercy for it, will be useless and at best it will be a head knowledge. So please, let's go to the throne of grace now to obtain mercy that makes a man win God's approval.
Have a wonderful and a blessed day!
God bless us all.
