*_WAITING ON GOD'S TIMING!!!_*
For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
- Habakkuk 2:3
God does everything in His timing! No pressure from a man and no passionate cry that can make God abort or change His timings for everything He has purposed.
God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?(Num.23:19).
When He told Abraham that his descendants would be strangers in a land that is not theirs and they shall serve them and be afflicted for four hundred years(Gen.15:13).
It happens that by the reason of Joseph, Israel went to Egypt and after the death of Joseph and the generations that knew Joseph; "Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph."(Exd.1:8).
That was the beginning of their affliction. Though the Egyptians made their lives bitter with hard labour, and they have by then started crying out to God for deliverance, God did not arrange for their deliverance immediately because of the timings which He gave to Abraham.
On the other hand, the land they are to possess also needs to be ready by God's timings, He told Abraham in Genesis 15:16;
"But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full."
God cannot do something that He cannot be justify for doing it. He is just in all His ways. Though they were crying for deliverance because of their affliction, they did four hundred and thirty years, there was an additional thirty years because God's vessel for deliverance was not yet ready and the land for them to possess needed to be ready also.
Beloved in Christ Jesus! This called for us to cry in order to obtain mercy that sealed our possession and the grace to wait and walk in God's timings.
The purpose of God for your life that has not yet come to pass, the reason can be that it is not yet God's time for it or you are not yet ready for it! God cannot give you what will kill you.
The admission that you have not yet gotten as an aspiring student might be that you are not yet ready for it, God will not want you to miss heaven because of admission or disgrace Him in the school because of going into that school when you don't have the capacity or the required godly character for it. Failing to get admission for some times is enough reason for you to check; is it God's time, or am I ready for the admission?
You might be praying for a life partner as a single person, and it is not forthcoming. There is a need to check; is it God's timing for you to marry? Also, check yourself if you are also ready for marriage. The desire to marry and being ready for marriage is not the same. You can be longing to marry, but if in character and in the quality for marriage you are zero, God will keep you pending. Don't go ahead of God to marry when it is not yet His time for you to do so. Doing the right thing at a wrong time makes it a wrong thing.
So it is with that business you want to go into. Is it His time for it, and do you have the capacity for it?
That position you are looking for. Is it His time for it? Don't bribe your way to that position or that appointment. Whatever God has not given you can kill you!
The same goes for that project you want to embark on; "Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it..." God has a timing for everything that concerns each and every one of us. We need grace to wait and walk in God's timings for everything.
Remember! "The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord."(Lam.3:25-26).
It is also very important to note that; "...the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry."
May God Almighty grant us grace to wait and walk in His timings for us in Jesus' Name!
Have a wonderful and a blessed day!
God bless us all.
