COUNSEL
Wise counsel is more precious than gold; and a word fitly spoken is like getting a silver bowl filled with golden apples.
INSECURITY IS A SIGN OF IMMATURITY
4: For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
5: Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God 1st John 5:4-5
If one is constantly overwhelmed by the world; are they really utilizing the faith they profess? Insecurity is filled with fear is not faith! The Bible teaches; if one can’t content with the enemy’s foot soldiers; how do they expect to contend with the horse soldiers?
When one cannot detach themselves from a situation in order to pray in the fortitude of faith it is insecurity. It is obvious that their foundation is in themselves and not the solid Rock of Christ our immovable foundation. Those show that there is in someone or something other than Christ.
It’s really duality professing to know Christ but in reality denying him. Being unstable in all their ways.
“But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
“For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
“A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. James 1:6-8
Double mindedness is insecurity manifested; it reflects to true character of an individual. When one lives a life of faith it is a life of stability anchored in Christ. Decisions are sought after in a prayer of faith that does not waiver depending upon circumstances; but to the contrary in the trust in God who turns the impossible into the possible!
INCIDENTS OR PROVIDENCE
There are some incidents in life which turn out to be the providence of God. Providence is defined as the divine guidance and care of God. A recent incident provoked me to the core of my being; and I’ve be on a sojourn both spiritually and intimately. The matter of ministry weighs heavily upon my mentality. The immediate future and what it holds for me. It is a time of reflection and my mind has been provoked to determine the providence of it all.
One must take into account an Omniscient God who knows the end from the beginning, one must take into account the call of God who knew us before we were ever in our mother’s womb, and one must take into account the guidance of God through the unction and inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
By faith in his ability I have moved forward, but recently when the frailty of my humanity reminded me that this earthly realm is but a temporary abode, my mind was arrested and I am in deep contemplation of the future and my personal roll in it. I am in a conflict, a mental state of mind which is trying to determine the situation. In one thought I am thinking about the longevity and physical health and strength to comply with the task that is set before me. Then comfort came in the form of a verse; one that was supernaturally revealed and unveiled to me.
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. (Isaiah 41:10 KJV)
My faith affords me the consciousness of the presence of God,
My faith affords me the consciousness of the purpose of God,
My faith affords me the consciousness of the power of God,
In Him; I am in covenant, I have the promise of conversation, and I have the benefit of heavenly commerce.
Where there is no fear there is serenity,
Where there is no fear there is solace,
Where there is no fear there is sanctity,
God is in my consciousness because I am in the mind of God; I may boldly as a child in good standing; enter into the Holy of Holies where the Seat of Mercy is a fixture for my faith. There I find his presence which refreshes, revives, and renews. There I find his purpose which guides, governs, and guarantees. There I find his power which seasons, sanctions, and secures.
In his hand there is truth and virtue, he is sovereign and universal and omnipotent. In him I have the power to pass through adversity. In Him tribulation strengthens me for in the day of trouble He is present with me. In Him courage is a gateway. When I think about the incident that incited my mind to ponder his providence it turns my mind to Joshua and the commission which fell to his charge. The Lord provoked him to be strong and courageous. Let us look again with new covenant revelation upon this charge and determine to practice our faith with like manner and fortitude.
(8) This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
(9) Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Joshua 1:8-9 KJV
Brethren keep the faith today, when incidents abound the providence of God will be found. Keep your minds pure and your motives sound. Let the incidents incite us to remember God’s providence. Let us pursue the will of God in the midst of trial, tribulation, or temptation; he will strengthen us with the right hand of his righteousness. Selah
Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
