Since I've just arrived in this forum, I ought to introduce myself. I am an Englishman, born in the Isle of Ely (which technically makes me a Fen Tiger) and now living in Lincolnshire. I am the son of two schoolteachers and the grandson of another one, which is a very significant bloodline. I was brought up in a very "High Church" parish of the Church of England, became an atheist when I felt too grown-up for religion (17), and became a Christian at college three years later. That was slightly more then fifty years ago. I've published my testimony before under the title "How an atheist became Christian", and I'll probably copy it again to the Testimony section here.
I'm active at other places on the internet. Under the name DISRAELI, I've been posting for more than ten years on the miscellaneous site Abovetopsecret; www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread1258635/pg1 . I started when their Religion sub-forum was very active, but I've been left now as the main contributor by default.
Under the name Stephen, I was left in charge of another Proboards forum, smoking-gun.proboards.com/ when the people who founded it decided to shift elsewhere instead. It hasn't actually taken off as a genuine forum, so I've been using it to repost some of my ATS material.
I can also be seen wandering around some of the Reddit Christian subforums under the name StephenDisraeli.
I'd better come clean about one of my reasons for wanting to make contact with another set of Christian people. I need a literary agent, a Christian one or at least one willing to deal with Christian books, and I don't know how to find one. I've got books published already, as you might see from the other Proboards forum, but getting them promoted is a steep learning curve. I hoped to meet one at the London Book Fair last year, and ran into the Catch-22 that I needed to have booked an appointment first. If I try researching on Google, it just gives me a maze of names listing "religion" as one of the items in their list of fields of interest. I daren't ask the question on Reddit because of the danger of getting scammed. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Apart from that, I need to find my feet here and work out how I might be most useful.

Hi Steven It's really great to have you here on 'Friends of Jesus' and to read your intro post here. It's really good to have a brother in Christ on this side of the pond as I am in the South west of England. I am personally not a writer or have any direct contacts with publishers, the christian books we buy are from eden.co.uk and was wondering if they could recommend any literary agents for you. You are more than welcome to be here and be a contibuter here as our purpose is to lead many people to the Lord. If you want to be a regular contributor, I can set up something at the top of the forum so that you can be part of this group as well.. Any ways, God bless you for being here and look forward to seeing more of you being here.

Especially St.Just-in-Penwith, where one of my grandfathers was born, and Teignmouth, where they retired, and the road in between (annual pilgrimage).
Thank you for the thought about eden.co. Yes, they will surely have agents presenting books to them, and might have no objection to offering names. There's no harm in asking, anyway, so I might well try that.
When I'm not wearing my "student of history" hat my speciality is exegesis. I used to cover different books on ATS by writing a series of threads (on a weekly basis), and the most convenient way of contributing at the moment might be to copy across one or two of them. But I would have to double-check them first to make sure they respected your policy. My teaching is scriptural and orthodox (I believe), but I don't always treat narratives as infallible, especially when they vary.
