I thought it was time that I gave Les a break and wrote a little my self. As I have a great passion for animals particularly dogs, I thought it would be a nice idea to share our break in Cornwall last week.
We travelled down to Cornwall on the Saturday 8th October with the unsureness of what this holiday would be like as we unfortunately have not had a holiday for over 10 years, but Les & I just felt it was time to have this break. As we are a couple that can get in a car & seam to get lost just leaving the front door, we used a satellite navigator to help us to get there. There were two main routes that this system could of chose either the motorway or an duel carriage way (A30) from a place called Exeter; However this unit had picked up major issues with both of these routes and decided to take us on a very an expected route. It chose Dartmoor, and it was fantastic. Talking about God's creation! It started with a beautiful forest/ woods and then it exposed it self to the main moors. Journeying through you could see all the valleys, hills and wild life just running free and we had over 30 miles of this before we got to the part where we had to re-align for our final destination. From start to finish it took us around 4 hrs to do this run but it was really lovely.
When we had arrived at this farm we were greeted by Sue who was the manager to it, and showed us where we were staying. We got our three hounds and our belongings out from the car and into our cottage, the first thing we wanted was a well earnt cuppa and we were looking out of our window and could see two horses that was brought down from people who were just finishing their holiday the week before.
When we had settled we both went for a walk that was mentioned that we could do, from the farm gate we could walk along this trail & into this beautiful woods and for the first time we could just hear nothing other than nature around us. We walked around and was heading back to the farm and we walked by their own horses & llamas + all their other animals that they had, we were told that all the animals are rescues which made it all extra special to us.
We spent a few days just doing this just resting and walking. We did make a visit to a place called looe and there we found our huge Cornish pasties and other things that took our fancy as well.
Les did take a few photos & I have transferred some from over from my face book, but we wanted to just enjoy it and just take it all in. We were just blown away with all the beautiful scenery. Charlie, Tara & Lucy just totally chilled out, spending time after their long walks that they had sleeping either on the sofa's or the bed.
We were really just taking up with the whole beauty of this farm of how they make this such an great place for those who have pets; Uk is not an easy place to find holidays that normally allows pets at all, you would normally would have too put cats & dogs into kennels.
This is our walk in the woods at the farm, liturally a 2 minute walk from where we were.
Charlie Tara & Lucy just enjoying the woods.
Charlie claimed the sofa this time so Lucy just layed down on the floor.
Or did she?
This was one place that none of our dogs slept....
One of the rescued horses that they had there......
And their two Llamas
We were surounded with loads of great views
All in all, it was a really lovely place and God willing we will be back next year.........
