From a Spiritual P.O.V.
Living in the Now means contending with all that is in the Now, contending with all that is in the now means contending with every thing that is a threat to our faith, one cannot contend with the past but only glean wisdom from it, one can however; contend with the future by contending with the Now. Whatever stands in the way of our Spiritual Maturity is an enemy of the Cross of Christ. Whether it be, Principalities, Powers, Rulers of Darkness, or Spiritual Wickedness.
(12) For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12 KJV
Those things which we wrestle against are both visible and invisible, but the underlying enemies are spiritual in nature.
(16) For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: Colossians 1:16 KJV
Living in the Now against those powers that be visible or invisible determine our success or defeat today and tomorrow.
