Revelation Reason!
The reason for revelation that is alarming is not to scare us but to prepare us for having the stamina to endure the trials that befall us. Contrary to the fantasizers; the reality of uncertainty looms over our lives. The temporal future according to my bible is suppose to become more bleak, not the utopia which is being prophesied all around the world.
Today the plague of immorality is running rampant, economies are collapsing, political paradigm shifts, tyrant’s saber rattling, Islamic Jihad, major health problems, human trafficking, famines, epidemics, and natural disasters, just to name a few of the realities which are going on in the world.
So when things get tight, don’t lose sight of the goal of the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. People are negatively effected by these things and become open to the message of the good news. When they see a stable people in the midst of instability they will gravitate to that strength.
We are by and enlarge living in the biblical beginning of sorrows which Jesus spoke of, a day of false prophets prophesying lies that do not prepare people, but put them in a state of self-complacency with no motivation to do more for the Kingdom of God.
Yes God can bless his people in the midst of any type of turmoil as they pursue him and his righteousness first, willing to lay aside the weight and the sins that so easily detour them from the plans and purposes of God. That’s why I am so thankful for the Word of God that does not change with the whims, winds, and waves of the world. Its revelation is the reason I can stand in faith, knowing that if I endure to the end, I shall be saved.
Therefore I am not persuaded by the new wave of fantasy prophets that are prophesying lies that stand in clear contrast to the written word of God for our times. The world is going to get worse before Jesus comes, not better. But I have confidence in the providence of my God to give me wisdom, faith, and strength to endure whatever comes my way.
