Church give up your Idols before God pronounces you as “ Lo-Ammi “. Not my People!
We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain. 2nd Corinthians 6:1 (KJV)
GIFTS DON’T SAVE YOU, YOU ARE SAVED BY GRACE.
[1] And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
[2] I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
[3] For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? ( not as those whom belong to the Lord ) 1st Corinthians. 3:1-3 (KJV) emphasis mine.
Paul was writing to the Corinthian Church which was reported by him as one that was not behind any other church in the manifestations of the gifts of God. But he called them a carnal church which allowed for sinful practices and pride to exist and permeate it. Paul reproved this church with two letters out of his love for them and his hatred for sin and hypocrisy. If the gospel of grace doesn’t change your nature, then you have rejected the core of what Christ came to do, you in effect have received the grace of God in vain. The bible teaches us to live a life of spiritual separation and purity.
[14] Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
[15] And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
[16] And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
[17] Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
[18] And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Idolatry which equals spiritual adultery permeates the body of Christ. Way too many in the Church worship the idols of Wealth, Politics, Sports, Hollywood, and the Music Industry, and unfortunately Preacher Worship is very prevalent as well, and many put more stock in what a politician, professor, scientist, or environmentalist has to say than what the Word of God or the Spirit of God says.
As for me and my house; we will worship the Lord and strive to lay aside every sin and weight which tries to avert us from obeying God or his revelations to a lost world and to his body, which is his Word which includes the Plan of Salvation and the Promises, Principles, Precepts, Protocols, and Provisions for them. These dynamics are clearly defined for us through the Moral Codes of the New Testament.
God called us out, separated us, then consecrated us for Holy use, not to become an unholy vessel of dishonor and reproach, but vessels of honor that bring glory to our God. God’s word decrees in the New Testament “ be perfect as even your heavenly father is perfect”, and also “ be ye therefore holy because I am holy “. Holiness is not an option it’s a demand!
Love and Grace are two different dynamics. Don’t confuse God’s unconditional love for his conditional grace, its true that God will love us regardless of what we do, but his grace is conditioned upon our repentance, without repentance there can be no grace extended. Also please don’t confuse involuntary sins or unpracticed sins for sins which are well premeditated and willfully practiced, the New Covenant declares that those who will to willfully and continually sin that there is no more sacrifice to cleanse their sin.
[23] Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
[24] And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
[25] Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
[26] For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
[27] But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
[28] He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
[29] Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? Hebrews 10:23-29 (KJV)
Its time to quit offering God our excuses, and start presenting our bodies as a living sacrifice, to stop denying the power of God and start receiving it, to quit lying to ourselves and start receiving the truth that sets us free.
God has imposed upon many to repent of their idolatry and turn to him with a whole heart, those promptings were continually dismissed and the idolatry persisted, God is openly declaring to many now to repent of your spiritual adultery, before I declare that you are “ Lo-Ammi “, not my people and I am not your God. God is calling us to repentance for the sake of revival, the resuscitation of the Body of Christ, so he can forgive our sins and proclaim the gospel to every kindred, tongue, and nation. Forgiveness and healing work hand in hand in God’s spiritual economy.
“ If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land“ . 2nd Chronicles 7:14
Jesus is going to shake this world like never before, anything that is not rooted in the Kingdom of God is going to shaken and those who refuse the chastening of the Lord will be cut off without remedy.
“ For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?” 1st Peter 4:17
Church Give Up your Idols and be refreshed, renewed, and revived in the power of the Living God, that it may be well with you, the Kingdom of God will advance, and the Coming of the Lord will be hastened.
Therefore, let all the godly confess their rebellion to you while there is time, that they may not drown in the floodwaters of judgment. Psalm 32:6 (NLT)
In view of current events; now more than ever do those in leadership need to define the faith. So many idols have bled into the church universal. Now more than ever leaders need to be ready to take the heat associated with calling sinful idols just that. There is so much heresy which is accepted as truth, people in the church are embracing necromancy, astrology, mysticism, and demon inspired visions, along with those prophesying false spiritual movements which do not have a biblical foundation. There is also the new truth doctrine, the prosperity message which has exceeded the bible’s teaching, and many more than cannot be put in this short commentary.
Now we have the acceptance of homosexuals as legitimate Christians and so-called “ Gay Marriage “ being called an equal right by pastors on television, radio, and internet. The apostle Paul told us in Colossians concerning the Gospel of Messiah about warning the saints: It’s called in theology: apologetics ( a defense of the faith ) Teaching truth perfects or matures the saints.
(28) whom we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, so that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.
(29) For which I also labor, striving according to the working of Him who works in me in power. Colossians 1:28-29 MKJV
The Apostle Paul gave up everything and laid down his career, his prestige, and position to became a disciple of Christ. He not only evangelized the known world of his age three times, but by unction of the Holy Spirit attributed two thirds of the New Testament of the twenty seven books. That’s amazingly being used of the Lord. His heart was sold out: This is what he said in the book of Acts of the Apostles.
(26) Therefore I testify to you on this day that I am pure from the blood of all.
(27) For I did not keep back from declaring to you all the counsel of God.
(28) Therefore take heed to yourselves, and to all the flock in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to feed the church of God which He has purchased with His own blood.
(29) For I know this, that after my departure grievous wolves shall enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
(30) Also men shall arise from your own selves, speaking perverse things in order to draw disciples away after them.
(31) Therefore watch and remember that for the time of three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears.
(32) And now, brothers, I commend you to God, and to the Word of His grace, which is able to build you up and to give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified. Acts 20:26-32 MKJV
I think it would be advisable to accept this exhortation, we all; leaders and laity alike have a responsibility to uphold the truth and to participate in practicing its precepts and proclaiming it purely.
Apostle Peter joined the chorus of sounding out responsibility to leaders to guard the truth by providing oversight as under shepherds of Christ, and that accountability of those who are younger in the faith to be subject to their spiritual elders who labor in the word to bring biblical truth to them. And for us to watch out for the roaring lions who bring in damnable heresies and cause God’s children to make idols out of the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life.
Church Give Up your Idols and be refreshed, renewed, and revived in the power of the Living God, that it may be well with you, the Kingdom of God will advance, and the Coming of the Lord will be hastened, this gospel of the kingdom must needs be preached to all the world and then the end will come!
Brethren keep the faith today by examining yourselves to see if there are any idols of your heart which are hindering you from the full potential you have in Christ, ask and you shall receive, seek with all your heart and you shall find, knock and it shall be open up to you. God will help you find those things which are truly idols that usurp the throne of your heart which belongs to Him. Then ask God to forgive you, then strive to walk in the Spirit and the faith will keep you strong in the power of his might.
