SEVEN ELEMENTS OF PRAYER IN ORDER TO BE EFFECTIVE.
1. PRAISE:
23 Whoever offers praise glorifies Me; And to him who orders his conduct aright I will show the salvation of God." Psalms 50:23 (NKJV)
2. THANKSGIVING:
28 Whether it is a cow or ewe, do not kill both her and her young on the same day. 29 And when you offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving to the Lord, offer it of your own free will. Leviticus 22:28-29 (NKJV)
3. CONFESSION:
16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. James 5:16 (NKJV)
4. PETITION:
9 "So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Luke 11:9-10 (NKJV)
15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. 1 John 5:15 (NKJV)
5. INTERCESSION:
27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. Romans 8:27 (NKJV)
4 Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. Philippians 2:4 (NKJV)
6. MEDITATION:
7 Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.
8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Joshua 1:7-8 (NKJV)
7. WAITING:
31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV)
10 Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! Psalms 46:10 (NKJV)
29 But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul. Deuteronomy 4:29 (NKJV)
