BE A WITNESS, NOT WITLESS!
In this world there are people who are looking for inspiration, there people who are desiring fulfillment, there are people who feel empty and question their purpose for being. These people are looking for Jesus but just don’t know it. They’ve probably heard a sermon, or seen a defeated Christian that detoured them, or are experiencing the temporary excitement of a phase they’re going through. But in the stillness of their solitary times there is a yearning for something more, it’s the torment of a soul that is not living for Jesus Christ.
What these people need is a person who exemplifies the personification of Christ Jesus, one who is a true witness of his living word. Someone who inspires them to seek into this Jesus thing a little deeper; because they’re seeking a person who lives a life with a victorious Christ-like attitude. A true witness for the kingdom of God, not a halfhearted lukewarm witless person who does more damage than good. We need to aspire to set others on fire by being on fire ourselves.
People don’t need hype that fosters false hope, they don’t need to see hypocrisy that turns them the other way, they need to see genuine examples of the joy that Jesus brings, they need to see its not hype filled rhetoric; but a healing lifestyle that they’re missing out on. They need to see in a true witness that Jesus is not a killjoy but he is real joy! Also that Christian life produces the reward of fulfillment.
(8) By this is God glorified--by your bearing abundant fruit and thus being true disciples of mine.
(9) As the Father has loved me, I have also loved you: continue in my love.
(10) If you obey my commands, you will continue in my love, as I have obeyed my Father's commands and continue in His love.
(11) "These things I have spoken to you in order that I may have joy in you, and that your joy may become perfect.
(12) This is my commandment to you, to love one another as I have loved you.
(13) No one has greater love than this--a man laying down his life for his friends.
(14) You are my friends, if you do what I command you. John 15:8-14 WNT
Be Zealous with Sincerity
The Christian life is about abundance, abundant life is signified by bearing abundant fruit, we first employ the fruit of the Spirit in our lives through yielding to the Spirit, this causes us to be pliable, bendable, and moldable. Then true love for God and the God kind of love emerges and begins the process of birthing; joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, meekness, and self-control. These in turn produce the zeal for God to do the good works of the Kingdom of which God has authorized us to do. Wisdom developed opens doors to greater opportunity and responsibility.
(11) For the grace of God has displayed itself with healing power to all mankind,
(12) training us to renounce ungodliness and all the pleasures of this world, and to live sober, upright, and pious lives at the present time,
(13) in expectation of the fulfillment of our blessed hope--the Appearing in glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ;
(14) who gave Himself for us to purchase our freedom from all iniquity, and purify for Himself a people who should be specially His own, zealous for doing good works.
(15) Thus speak, exhort, reprove, with all impressiveness. Let no one make light of your authority. Titus 2:11-15 WNT
Brethren keep the faith today by determining to be a witness, not witless, by being zealous with sincerity and maturity. There are many lost people and young gullible Christians who need examples of the content of the character of what real Christian Faith is truly suppose to be.
If we hunger and thirst after righteousness and exemplify it for others as leaders; whether we are actual leaders or laity we can cause those whom are searching for something real, something tangible, and something fulfilling to also hunger and thirst for the deep, pure, and holy things of God.
Lets keep the Faith, lets be real, lets be righteous, and lets be radical!
Shalom & Agape!
