DEAD BUT ALIVE
When people think about you, what comes to mind? What is the prevailing foremost thing that stands out in their mind concerning you? You see many times our reputation precedes us and people identify us by the qualities involved in our character. If you are a Christian your Christian Character should be declaring your identity in Christ.
“ I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I that live, but Christ that lives in me; and the life which I now live in the body I live through faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself up to death on my behalf. Galatians 2:20 WNT
Identification is a wonderful self explanation. The character we project is the identity upon which others will reflect. This thing called identity is so important to our walk of faith, therefore; the intimate presence of the mind of Christ which now guides us through the Word of God is key in immolating ourselves and allowing Christ to live through us.
It is a fact; we allow much of our previous mindset to follow us into our Christian walk, the good news is the Old Man is dead, and the New Man is alive. So why then do we allow the guilt’s of the past to drive us by it’s pain? We cannot afford to let pass transgressions washed away by the blood of Jesus to identify our new lives in Christ. The truth is; our emotions coupled with the provocation of the devil embellish the facts of the past and exasperate the guilt of the past. Guilt may have drove us to our knees, but it through the blood of Jesus that we can now stand new and free.
CONVICTED, SENTENCED, AND FREED!
Jesus was Convicted for our sins, Jesus was Sentenced for our sins, Jesus was then Crucified for our sins, and through His Resurrection we are now Freed from our sins. Therefore every day get up and put on the new you! You are a New Creation made in the Spiritual image and character of your Creator. Your identity in Christ, is consistently being forge by Christ, because you are the dwelling place of Christ.
Brethren keep the Faith today by giving all your burdens to the Lord. Don’t allow the past to crash your present or your future. Remember Jesus is the Author and Finisher of our Faith, He is the Vine and we are the branches, allow the our heavenly Vinedresser to tend to us in holy fashion, he will purge us of those leafless and fruitless growths that hinder us.
Don’t allow the cares of this life to consume you, for he cares for you, he knew your name before you were even in the womb and prepared a life that will fulfill you, therefore be content in whatever condition you find yourself, for peace is the essence of patience and patience perfects us into a spiritual maturity. Draw closer to God and He will draw closer to you.
(6) Humble yourselves therefore beneath the mighty hand of God, so that at the right time He may set you on high.
(7) Throw the whole of your anxiety upon Him, because He Himself cares for you.
(8) Curb every passion, and be on the alert. Your great accuser, the Devil, is going about like a roaring lion to see whom he can devour.
(9) Withstand him, firm in your faith; knowing that your brethren in other parts of the world are passing through just the same experiences.
(10) And God, the giver of all grace, who has called you to share His eternal glory, through Christ, after you have suffered for a short time, will Himself make you perfect, firm, and strong.
(11) To Him be all power unto the Ages of the Ages! Amen. 1 Peter 5:6-11 WNT
Keep your facts in tact, and stay faithful in your acts.
Shalom & Agape!
