There are 4 types of Christians those who talk at God, those who talk to God, those who listen, and those who follow. Those who talk at God have needs, but no sacrifice. They are as scriptures relate, "These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Matthew 15:8 The second type of Christian talks to God he loves to hear God's word, but he does not follow it. He is like the man who sees his perfect image in a glass mirror. Sees himself as a child of God, and then walks away and forgets what manner of man he is outside of God. James 1:24 The third Christian listens to God, when God is near, and follows his emotions. When he feels God is close, and things feel right he is on a mountain top, but when in the valleys and God is testing his faith he falters. "That we henceforth be no more children tossed to and fro, and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness where they lay in wait to deceive." (Ephesians 4:14) Let him ask in faith nothing wavering. "For he that wavers is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed." (James 1:6) Then lastly there are those who follow God. Who trust God always, and who know the trials are part of their faith. Who follow the example set by Jesus which involves even our suffering and sacrifice. "Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be manifest in our mortal flesh." 2 Corinthians 4 :10
