Romans 9:1-5
KJV(i)1 I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost, 2 That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart. 3 For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh: 4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises; 5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.
Romans 9 O Israel, my people! O my Jewish brothers! How I long for you to come to Christ. My heart is heavy within me, and I grieve bitterly day and night because of you. Christ knows and the Holy Spirit knows that it is no mere pretense when I say that I would be willing to be forever damned if that would save you. 4 God has given you so much, but still you will not listen to him. He took you as his own special, chosen people and led you along with a bright cloud of glory and told you how very much he wanted to bless you. He gave you his rules for daily life so you would know what he wanted you to do. He let you worship him and gave you mighty promises. 5 Great men of God were your fathers, and Christ himself was one of you, a Jew so far as his human nature is concerned, he who now rules over all things. Praise God forever!

These are my thoughts please share yours.
1 Christ is the truth in Him there is no deceit. We should always be serious when it comes to the Lord and we should speak the truth of Him as guiding by the Spirit.
2 We are going to have troubles and pains and disappointments in this world but thru Christ we will always be satisfied. Thru our troubles we will grow closer to the Lord thru our faith which will grow in these times as we rely not on ourselves or others but rely on Him to get us thru the troubles and pain.
3 There are always going to be those we pray will turn from their evil ways. If they turn from their evil ways and do not turn to the Lord it still will lead them to hell even though they are not doing those evil things anymore. Without a relationship with the Lord, we will not go to heaven. There will always be those that never turn from their sins and turn to Jesus and these are the ones that will be in hell if they do not turn to Him.
4 Paul was Jewish and at this time to be Jewish was to be an Israelite. Today we do not see a religion that goes with a nationality but Jews were both a race of people and a belief system they had. Paul had a concern for the group he grew up in. We are most time trouble by those close to us not doing what we feel they should. Paul wanted Israel to accept the truth and it troubled him that many rejected it. If you have ever had a close friend or family member reject the gospel as you give it to them, then you know what Paul was going thru. Most of us have been there. God’s plan was laid out thru the Israelites and they reject the truth, for all the Lord gave them to show them their need for a Savior. We should not put the rules the Lord puts on our hearts for us to do before His will for us. At times if we are not careful our rules can become our god and this is what happened with Israel and can even happen in the church today. We should not allow our man made rules to keep us from serving the Lord as Israel did. If they believed the word they would have saw the truth Jesus spoke.
5 Now many of the righteous were of Israel, these men were used by God to proclaim His will to man and they wrote down the words of the Lord which are in the bible today. Christ was the answer to all the prophecy that was not yet fulfilled. All good things are done thru Him and the word is good. Jesus is God knowing this will bring us blessings.
