The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
As we celebrate Christmas today, I’m always reminded that Jesus Christ came to the world to die. He came to take our sins upon the cross.
The Bible says we have all sinned and come short of God’s glory, that the wages of sin is death. So the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life." There is no other life except through Christ.
So, as we enjoy Christmas, may we be reminded that Jesus came to take our sins and save us from our sins. The beauty is that He rose again. Jesus Christ is alive. He’s not dead; He’s not hanging on a cross. He’s alive and can come into each and every heart that is willing to accept him by faith.
By grace are you saved through faith. You don’t work for your salvation. It’s through faith.
As we enjoy Christmas, I hope each and every one who is reading would examine his or her heart—and just say, “Where do I stand before God? Are my sins forgiven? Am I ready to stand before Him? If my life came to an end today would He accept me and would He receive me?”
And if a person doesn’t know, if they say, “Well I think I’m ready. I hope I am,” then you’re not ready. You have to be confident, you have to be sure.
The only way you can be confident and sure is if you have accepted Jesus Christ by faith into your heart and into your life and trusting him as your Savior and following him as your Lord.
If you have never made that commitment to know Jesus or you just want to be sure, then why not do it today; click on the link to read more on becoming a Christian.
