I am mostly back. Training is complete. I will know in a few weeks if I have attained a new cert. The class was grueling. I barely saw my littlest ones for three weeks.
I attended the funeral of the coded patient we ran. Brought back some hard memories. Been doing okay though.

Gonna be away for a bit again. Taking the family to a ministry retreat followed by a few days off in Anchorage. Winter is coming, so we gotta take a last trip before the real weather sets in.

Sorry I've been absent already. This time of year is always a bit busy for all of us. In addition to regular duties, I have been tasked with creating and teaching protocols for EMS driving. Just driving sounds simple enough I guess, but to break down the standards of what we do with a focus on safety via risk mitigation has been a challenge.
So, I may be scarce till after Christmas.

So...I'm back...sort of...
I taught to EMS driver courses, survived the holidays and am now looking forward to an advanced EMT cert coming next month.
I should be a little more present now.

Here I go again...
Next week I am taking an advanced EMT class. Right on the heels of that, I will be traveling to California for the Shepherd's Conference at Grace Community Church (John MacArthur).
Usually many of the sessions can be watched live. Or in a few weeks, the Grace to You website will post streaming videos.
Be back the sometime after March 10th

Here are the details of this conference that arete is going too The 2015 Shepherds’ Conference is right around the corner. In less than two weeks, more than 5,000 pastors and church leaders from around the world will gather for the Summit on Inerrancy. God’s Word is under assault on all sides—including from within the church. This year’s conference is all about affirming and defending the inerrancy, authority, and sufficiency of Scripture. While the conference is already sold out, you can watch this historic event live online at the conference website. For the conference schedule and more information about inerrancy, visit www.shepherdsconference.org and www.inerrantword.com. Mark your calendars—you don’t want to miss a minute. GTY Staff

After the Shepherd's Conference was a busy time. Since then, I have completed an advanced life support certification in EMS with another class coming soon. It's a class to expand the scope of practice even more. The class was intense and the testing included graded practical scenarios and two written exams. Wow!
After that, the EMS calls have come rolling in and my elder board sprung a retreat on me short notice. It was a good problem to have. We get away, enjoy the fellowship, and conduct the affairs of the church. It does cramp my time a bit.
Now, I am preparing to be gone for a month in June on vacation. I do check in and read threads even when I'm not posting. Hopefully I won't be too much of a stranger for a while
