Good day every one!
I looked at the forecast for the Alanta,Ga.area,it looks like we may have a repeat of yesturday, except maybe a little cooler,Praise the name of Jesus.
Divided Housing, what a subject! Some of you may be wondering,How will he be able to draw a spiritual message out of a subject like Divided Housing?
Abraham Lincoln had something to say about divided housing in the Gettysburg Addre...ss,so many years ago."A nation divided against itself can not stand" were his words to a nation caught up in civil war.The North against the South. If I'm not mistaken it cost the lives of over 500,000 Americans, during the time this war was being fought, and for what?Slavery?!
Although slavery was not to be the subject of my post this morning,I feel the overwhelming proding of the Spirit to follow Him with this thought on slavery,so rather than post what I intended,I will say this:
Mankind is born into slavery.Slavery to sin and Satan.everyone of us are born sinners and have the proclivity toward sin, wickedness, unrighteousness, trasgression and iniquity.Left to himself, man will inevitibly perish, left to ourselves we will only get worse, and unless God does an intervention, and He will, mankind will destroy himself. It is a proven fact that the one thing man learns from history,is that man doesn't learn anything from history.
A house divided against itself truly will not be able to stand for very long.In our inner most being there is a battle raging for our soul.Good vs Evil, righteousness vs wickedness,God vs Satan.Only one will win,and it's up to us to choose who we will follow. But,rest assured that we will follow God or Satan, but,we can not follow both.
Jesus said in Matthew 12:30,"He who is not with Me is against Me,and he who does not gather with Me,scatters abroad."It is imperative for us to understand that we will bear allegiance to one or the other, but,we can not do both.Let me encourage those who may be at the crossroads of life, not knowing which way to turn, who will you follow.God will never force anyone to follow Him,however,He does give us ample examples from Scripture,as to the utter foolishness of not choosing Him.Many christians today are living in a house divided. They want eternal life with God,but, they also want all the pleasures that the world has to offer, including the sin that follows with it.Weigh it in the balances and see for youself if this temporary life that only last for maybe 70 yrs.,or life without end in heaven with Christ is worth more.Cast out Satan and allow Christ to fully inhabit your being and life. The rewards are eternal. The rewards for not choosing Christ are also eternal.A house divided will not stand......Thank you....JW
