Romans 13:1-3
KJV(i) 1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. 2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:

Living Bible (TLB)
13 Obey the government, for God is the one who has put it there. There is no government anywhere that God has not placed in power. 2 So those who refuse to obey the laws of the land are refusing to obey God, and punishment will follow. 3 For the policeman does not frighten people who are doing right; but those doing evil will always fear him. So if you don’t want to be afraid, keep the laws and you will get along well.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.
1 We should and will always answer to someone. God has allowed all powers to be n power even if they are against God they are part of His plan. God used evil nations to punish His people but when it came to time His people to go free these nations were punished for there ways. Even nations will have to answer to God. No nation that is against God will remain.
2 We should follow the rules of the nations just as long as they do not go against God’s will. It was illegal for Daniel to pray but it was God’s will so while Daniel had to answer or praying before men, He stood innocent before God. We should not try to defy God but should also try to live by the law of the land.
3 Nations are often corrupt and they will answer for this. We should do good and try to live in a way that shows we are living good which only happens by following the laws of the land as well but His laws come first.
