Colossians 3:2King James Version (KJV) 2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
Revised Webster Update (1995) Colossians 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
These are my thoughts. We should be laying our riches up in heaven and not on earth.
1 Kings 1:22-23King James Version (KJV) 22 And, lo, while she yet talked with the king, Nathan the prophet also came in. 23 And they told the king, saying, Behold Nathan the prophet. And when he was come in before the king, he bowed himself before the king with his face to the ground.
1 Kings 1:22-23New King James Version (NKJV) 22 And just then, while she was still talking with the king, Nathan the prophet also came in. 23 So they told the king, saying, “Here is Nathan the prophet.” And when he came in before the king, he bowed down before the king with his face to the ground. These are my thoughts, please share yours.
22 At this time the word of the prophet was encouraged by David since he was told his wrong doing with Beersheba, Nathan was the prophet God sent to tell David; David named one of his sons Nathan perhaps after this prophet.
23 He showed a respect to the king showed God still held him as king even though his son was trying to take the kingdom from him at this time. Samuel had very little to no contact with Saul after he told him that God was no longer behind him.
