ARE WE CHANGING THE WORLD?
As a member in particular in the body of believers, those whom have been called out and set apart; are we changing the world around us? Does our presence fulfill lives or leave a vacuum? Has anything of significance to change a life in a positive biblical spiritual sense happened because you are where you are living the sold out lifestyle of the Christian life?
Have we become so cold, carnal, and callused that we cannot see that we are reborn to replenish the earth through preaching and teaching the principles, precepts, and protocols of the Christian Faith. God has regenerated us with a purpose, to function through the unction of his Spirit. “ For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. “ Romans 8:14 If we hear and heed his unction, we will surely see the results of our obedience; hence someone’s life will be influenced, someone’s heart will be touched, someone’s body may be healed, someone oppressed could be delivered, and most importantly someone lost could be saved.
The regenerated live to teach and preach regeneration whether it be as an anointed officer given the position of an under shepherd, or whether it be as an anointed lay member given the responsibility to be a witness. We all have the same God in this body of believers, if we are guided by his Spirit, influence of others is the result of our adherence.
When we gather, we gather for worship, fellowship, and instruction. When we disperse we embark to engage the world, enact our responsibility, and influence those around us through word, action, and deed. The Spirit does not misguide, mislead, or misinform; He is the Spirit of Truth. Therefore touching one life for the benefit of the Kingdom of God is a change that is significant. Remember our perspective is the eternal not the temporal result of that change. We effect change that is eternal when we are obedient, because this present age will pass away, but the age to come is eternal.
Until we realize that we are messengers, and we are the ones who can fill in the vacuum of an empty soul through introducing them to Jesus, we will steadily grow cold, more carnal, and callused; not producing anything life changing in our own lives or the lives of others. When we allow life to consume us with selfishness, being diverted by seasons of difficulties, we will inadvertently miss many opportunities to enrich, enhance, and embolden ourselves and others with the true riches of life, a life that living in tune with the Spirit affords and one that fills to the uttermost with satisfaction.
Brethren keep the faith today by keeping focused upon the overview of God’s purposes, remembering the those things you think are undoable, unchangeable, and impossible are very possible with God. It’s only when we live in our own limited strength and mentality that we are doomed to feel we are insignificant and worthless concerning the ability to influence the world around us. Selah!
Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
