REMEMBER TO GIVE GOD THANKS!
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. Psalms 100:4 KJV
Be thankful and praise the Lord of our lives, this sets the mold for the day. When a heart is filled with thanks to begin the day, that spiritual action will help prepare and sustain us through all the day’s contentions. In the world there is no peace, or lack of drama, conflict, or anxiety, but in Christ we can have peace of mind.
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Colossians 3:15 KJV
Being thankful is a lost art in the world, call me cynical but it seems that everyone in the world and even some of those in body have ulterior motives. When some are thankful it is part of a scheme or scam using their outward words and actions to veil the real purpose and intent of their heart. But; thankfulness should be part and parcel of the Christian lifestyle from a genuine heart of love, peace, and joy in the Spirit. When we express the joy in our hearts through a life of thankfulness, it is an example to those around us that we are different in that sense. It exemplifies Christ in us the hope of glory and strengthens our resolve against the assaults which can befall us each day.
(4) Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
(5) Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
(6) Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
(7) And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
(8) Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:4-8 KJV
Brethren, keep the faith today by letting the joy of the Lord be your strength, by letting that inner peace manifest with an outward smile. Being aware that the weapons of the enemy are designed to steal your heart of thanksgiving, by doing every thing they can to kill your joy, and make you anxious. Jesus’ letter to the Philippians admonished them to rejoice always in the Lord, to let your meekness and mildness be seen by all, to pray with thanksgiving and to focus on true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and good reports, then he tells them and us; if there is anything that brings valor and excellence or anything that is commendable that we are to focus our thoughts on them and the peace of God and the God of peace will be with you. Selah!
Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
