THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB
“And you shall take a bunch of hyssop and dip in the blood in the bowl, and strike the lintel and the doorposts with the blood in the bowl. And none of you shall go out of the door of his house until the morning. Exodus 12:22
I pray you will recognized the need for the blood of Jesus who was crucified for your sins. He died on a cross so that you may have life and have it eternally. If you have not received this Passover blood over the lintel and side posts of the doors t your heart, you should do so by repenting of your sins now. God has furnished everything you need to receive the gift of life. The cross was the lintel and doorposts, and the blood of Jesus garnished that cross for the sins of the world!
Jesus is our Passover blood offering; his blood cleanses us from all unrighteousness, and we by faith receive this atonement for our sins, and are redeemed (bought back) thereby becoming new creatures in Christ Jesus. Before that we were the children of the devil through original sin through the transgression of Adam in the garden of Eden. We were corrupted and inundated with a sinful nature.
“ He who is habitually guilty of sin is a child of the Devil, because the Devil has been a sinner from the very beginning. The Son of God appeared for the purpose of undoing the work of the Devil.” 1st John 3:8
The bible teaches us that the wages of sin is death, ( eternal damnation in total darkness and unseen flames of torment ) because sin is never a victimless crime sin hurts not only the individual sinner, but also those around that individual. Sin always costs more and hurts more than it initially presents itself to do, it is and always will be insatiable ( un satisfied ) thereby rendering it dangerous to the our inability to overcome its demands. It wages are guilt, pain, and death. I thank God for the Passover Lamb of God who takes away the sins of those whom repent.
(8) But God gives proof of His love to us in Christ's dying for us while we were still sinners.
(9) If therefore we have now been pronounced free from guilt through His blood, much more shall we be delivered from God's anger through Him.
(10) For if while we were hostile to God we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, it is still more certain that now that we are reconciled, we shall obtain salvation through Christ's life. Romans 5:8-10
Receive this freedom, for the Passover represents freedom from the bondage of slavery to sin. It represents a new life based upon the promises of God to renew us, regenerate us, to restore us and to receive us into the Promised Land called Heaven. Let us partake of the New Testament “ Sedar” or Passover Meal, let us have Holy Communion receiving the elements of the bread and fruit of the vine, remembering that vicarious sacrifice of Christ partaking of our Passover Lamb. Let us remember the bitterness and blight of sin, and celebrate the newness of the life of liberty in Christ.
(12) Then since we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech.
(13) And we are not like Moses, who put a veil over his face so that the sons of Israel could not steadfastly look to the end of the thing being done away.
(14) (But their thoughts were blinded; for until the present the same veil remains on the reading of the old covenant, not taken away.) But this veil has been done away in Christ.
(15) But until this day, when Moses is read, the veil is on their heart.
(16) But whenever it turns to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away.
(17) And the Lord is that Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
(18) But we all, with our face having been unveiled, having beheld the glory of the Lord as in a mirror, are being changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Lord Spirit. 2nd Corinthians 3:12-18
Brethren and Friends I would plead with you today to understand that no one comes to God own their own merit, we will surely be weighed in the balance and found wanting. But we come by way of the Cross of Christ, why? Because without the cross there is no crucifixion, and without the crucifixion there is no resurrection. When we come to the cross and present ourselves to God in repentance of our sins, he quickens us and we begin the our new life in Christ. So let us mortify the deeds of the flesh and live unto Christ.
(1) If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
(2) Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
(3) For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
(4) When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. Colossians 3:1-4
