HOLY AMBITION:
There is a difference between vultures and eagles, both of these birds soar; but the their natures are completely different. Many are soaring to heights in this last days which very few attain, however there is a plain difference between the two. One is a predator the other is a scavenger, one looks for opportunity by providing for itself through its own vigor, veracity, and vivaciousness, the other looks for opportunity by providing for itself through the mayhem, misfortune, and fatality of others.
The eagle is a bird of prey, the vulture is a bird of carrion. One soars looking for movement, one soars looking non-movement. The eagle takes it by force, the vulture takes it by impotence. One of the greatest weapons in our spiritual arsenal is prayer. Prayer empowers and renews us to accomplish the call of God upon our lives.
(31) But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
Prayer is a dynamic medium of communication and the source for transformation, it gives us an audience with the Father, and an opportunity to receive a cleansing through confession and repentance. We enter into his presence in the humility of our weakness; but also in the boldness of our covenant to speak privately and intimately with our God and Father. We approach in honesty and transparency, but in confidence knowing he will here us and answer us. Our heart should resound and reflect the prayer in Psalm 19.
(13) Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.
(14) Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer. Psalms 19:13-14
If God is holy, ( and he certainly is ) we should be holy also, because we were begotten through his word, we now possess the power of that divine word to live in holiness.
(12) But as many as received ( accepted ) him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: John 1:12 ( emphasize mine )
We have been given the power, the authority, the jurisdiction, the ability to become his children through our acceptance of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. He is the Living Word, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of those who receive his message and act on it through repentance and obedience.
Today many are bashing those whom want to achieve God’s purpose for their lives, condemning them for wanting to succeed in pleasing God, saying living this life is not about success; but they surely err in that conclusion for success is rooted in pleasing God’s will for one’s life. Holy Ambition is putting one’s hand firmly upon the gospel plough, and breaking up the fallow ground of their lives to allow seeds of God’s righteousness to be sown into their lives. When one is truly wanting to accomplish God’s will by doing those things appropriate concerning the nature, fashion, and principles of God’s word; they’re on the way to soaring like the eagle. Achieving success from faith to faith and glory to glory, understanding God’s guidance through constant contact and communication with Him.
(57) But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
(58) Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. 1st Corinthians 15:57-58
Brethren, keep the faith today by rekindling the fires of holy ambition in your lives. If doesn’t matter if we are leadership or laity; none of us are called to be nominal but phenomenal, not just natural but supernatural, not just ordinary but extraordinary! When we see ourselves beginning to cool down to a place of complacency, indifference, and apathy we are surely lukewarm. It time to take the charge of revival through repentance and come to a reformation of transformation into the eagles of God who soar high, those whom run and do not weary, those whom continue to walk but do not faint in the way. Keep the faith and the faith will keep you! Selah!
Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
