WHY NO REVIVAL?
I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: Matthew 3:11 KJV
Surely the goodness of God is still abundant even in the midst of these trying times. I remember reading a book years ago that revolutionized my thinking concerning the moving of the Lord. It was “ Why no Revival” by Leonard Ravenhill. I know it was a work of God’s own heart put to pen and paper as each chapter turned my eyes into a wellspring of tears, such powerful words that indicted my conscience, such convincing words that compelled my compassion, and fired up my spirit, for it did leap within me as a quagmire of emotion and spiritual sensitivity mingled to bring conviction and restoration to a hurting heart and desperate heart for the things of God.
I knew in those pages of compassionate revelation that truth was expressed and proclaimed, and that I must grasp it wholeheartedly and act upon its truth and instruction. In the finishing of the reading of its pages was the establishing of the mission which lay before, the call to be a Revivalist. God through that single book of biblical truths, principles, and practicality convinced me that part and parcel of the call upon my life was to receive the passionate fire of preaching by the unction of the Holy Ghost to bring conviction and conversion through the Spirit of Revival. Brethren, when it comes to the spiritual fat of the land, we should never settle for less than God’s best for us.
There is a Fire that burns brighter, that burns deeper, that burns hotter than we can imagine. It is the Fire of the Holy Ghost. God intended in his plan of salvation that we all be filled with the Holy Ghost and Fire. We are living in great darkness, which is converging upon the earth, signs of the times shown we are in the last of the last days. God is unleashing his end time anointing upon whosoever will receive it to be a witness and to stir up the cooling embers of a Church that needs resuscitation, so my question is “ Why Not Revival” the darkness is no excuse, “why no revival” many in the body are lukewarm, “why no revival” Jesus is coming soon. My answer is; we need to hear and heed the anointing is falling to pray down revival, the anointing is falling to see miracles, signs, and wonders that glorify the Lord.
Brethren, keep the faith today by seeking the face of God in praise, in prayer, and participating in the reading of the word, then stir of the gifts within you and be consumed by the fire of God. Selah!
