END TIME MINISTRY
Why do we act so shocked at the today’s debauchery? After all these are the last days, I think we could spend more time edifying one another, reaching out to the lost, and exposing the darkness that is invading the church. I know that people are terrified about terrorism, uncertain about the economy, concerned about healthcare. Etc. Etc. I understand the concern; however we must be about the business of the Kingdom.
(14) Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
(15) See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
(16) Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
(17) Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. Ephesians 5:14-17 KJV
The thing is that we can only do so much in and of ourselves, I would rather die trying to do what I consider to be the will of God for my life, than to be overcome, overwhelmed, and frozen in my tracks by exterior events. From a biblical point of view, I call Faith Perspectives; the body of Christ has a lot of work to do. I am praying for opportunities to do all the work of the gospel, not just the preaching, teaching part, but the his hands extended part. When I look around me, I see so many people who are hurting and confused. There are lots of people who are hopeless, and looking many times to a heartless church for help and being turned a way.
The church is suppose to be a hospital for lost souls, a healing center for the saved, a beacon of hope for the poor, and a staging area for the furtherance of the gospel. Jesus is coming soon, when I say that I am speaking of the rapture of the church which has made herself ready, not the second coming which an entirely different event. The signs of scriptural teaching are all around us and God would have us busy with Kingdom Building. We ( the body of Christ ) have the answers that will fill the void within those whom without and within the body of Christ.
One thing I know for sure it that it takes money to move ministry that makes a difference. Even the little that I am able to do costs thousands by the year’s end and that is running on a bare minimum and I usually find myself in the red to start the new year again. I’m not complaining, just being real; but it doesn’t hold me back, because God always makes a way along the way somehow. If it’s God’s will he will always pay the bill, but we must be wise stewards over the finances and resources he puts into our charge.
What I want to point to is the reality that many say they believe these are the last days, but are living like they’ve got an eternity before Jesus comes. I know in my heart I could do more, and I am doing what I can with what I have, and many times with what I don’t have. But God will help me if I step out in faith, he has done it so many times I have lost count.
The point is this, all the events around us in this world are designed to wax cold our love for God and the work he has called us to do. It is designed to pull us into the spirit of the world, to grow lukewarm and cold. It’s one thing to engage the world to make a difference and quite another to be integrated into the world and become useless in the kingdom of God. Jesus is Coming whether you are ready or not, the scripture bids us to be wary of the times and to know what the will of the Lord is.
Brethren keep the faith today by seeking the Lord while he may be found, observing the times and doing the will of God for your lives. Not everyone is called to be in the fivefold ministry, but everyone is called to be a witness and exhorted to have an answer for the hope that is within you, study to make yourselves approved of God becoming wise in the Spirit.
(5) Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.
(6) Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man. Colossians 4:5-6 KJV
Brethren we are living in horrific and sinful times, if you’re not excited it’s time to get ignited so we can rise up and fight it. Selah
Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
