Numbers 18:25-28 King James Version (KJV)
25 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
26 Thus speak unto the Levites, and say unto them, When ye take of the children of Israel the tithes which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then ye shall offer up an heave offering of it for the LORD, even a tenth part of the tithe.
27 And this your heave offering shall be reckoned unto you, as though it were the corn of the threshing floor, and as the fulness of the winepress.
28 Thus ye also shall offer an heave offering unto the LORD of all your tithes, which ye receive of the children of Israel; and ye shall give thereof the LORD’s heave offering to Aaron the priest.

25 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 26 “Moreover you shall speak to the Levites, and tell them, ‘When you take of the children of Israel the tithe which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then you shall offer up a wave offering of it for Yahweh, a tithe of the tithe. 27 Your wave offering shall be credited to you, as though it were the grain of the threshing floor, and as the fullness of the wine press.28 Thus you also shall offer a wave offering to Yahweh of all your tithes, which you receive of the children of Israel; and of it you shall give Yahweh’s wave offering to Aaron the priest.

25 The Lord at this always spoke thru Moses, it was for the people to trust Moses by telling them God’s word, today we have God’s word and we can judge whether someone is sharing God’s word by us knowing God’s word.
26-27 Moses had to speak to the Levites; this was his family, the tribe he was from. The Levites had to tithe what the Lord provided them as well. Servants of the Lord are no spared from giving to the Lord. Their offering would just as could as anyone else’s, them being able to give to God required the people to give to them but regardless of how little the people give them they are to give tenth back to the Lord.
28 They are to give it to the high priest who was Aaron at that time and he would give it back to the Lord.
