FRESH OIL
To many times we have a skewed view of victory! Each day should be entered into with Praises and Thanksgiving to our God. I don’t know about you, but when I think about how big my God is; my problems become much smaller. Why? Because I’ve found that nothing is impossible with God, especially when it looks impossible, overwhelming, and insurmountable to me.
That’s when its time to praise him and give thanks for His loving kindness toward me. Oh let me tell you something, I didn’t arrive at this state of mind and spirit overnight, no, no, no, it was through the trials and tribulations of life. It was times of personal failure, times of hurt, times of sickness, times of loss, and times of overwhelming oppression which have brought me understand what it means to have victory in Jesus!
So when you see me a man who praises and gives thanks and think to yourself, he doesn’t know what a battle is you better think again. However, I have found and I repeat it again, my God is bigger than all my problems and he is able to cause me to triumph over all of them.
For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands. Psalms 92:4 KJV
I will triumph in the work of his hands, because I am glad to be a work of his hands, because I am a work of his grace. I am a new creation, the idolatry of the world has been removed, the beauty of holiness resides within me, I have entered a most glorious state, and I am inspired to a peculiar gladness which is unquenchable in his presence. I am called to conquer, I am called to a spiritual conquest with an expectation of ultimate and complete triumph. For he who made me now fills me with his own Spirit, of whom or what shall I be afraid.
But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil. Psalms 92:10 KJV
He fills me with fresh oil with each new day, my horn is filled afresh as praises mixed with thanksgiving reach the Holy of Holies.
O the sacred flow, the oil within his horn of honor that breaks the arrows of my foe.
O the oil of his horn, with heaven’s love it does adorn.
O the oil that is anew, opens eyes with brand new view.
O the oil that brings relief, separates me from the sheaf.
O my horn he shall exalt, to bring my enemies to a halt.
Yes, I shall be anointed with fresh oil.
When our Lord anoints us anew, it is a sacred act; it sanctifies us. It is an ennobling act; it consecrates us for our particular calling. It is an invigorating act; it excites and ignites us for the task of the day. It is a uniting act; it negates those carnal elements that divide. It is a gladdening act; it activates the joy of the Lord within us. It is an illuminating act; it opens our eyes to understanding the will of the Lord. It is a binding act; it unites our lives with Christ in perfect union.
Fresh oil causes us to have a freshness or a newness of life, and fearlessness and a faithfulness to God. Our faith becomes boundless and our hopes are renewed with fresh expectation. We are no longer subdued by hopelessness, we are not long dwelling in artificial stimulation, but totally object jubilation, we no longer allow ourselves to be suppressed into depression, but we shout with the voice of supernatural triumph and sing praises to our God.
(12) The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
(13) Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.
(14) They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;
(15) To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him. Psalms 92:12-15 KJV
Brethren, keep the faith today, don’t allow the enemy to embellish your problems, but stand fast in the freshness of the Spirit. Keep your faith firmly fixed upon Jesus the Author and Finisher of your Faith. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, it will not work the righteousness of God, but instead go to sleep with a praise and arise to fresh oil in the morning. Selah!
Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
