CONTRAST:
We have two choices set before us at the entrance of the day, Our way or God’s way. These are diametrically opposed to one another. We cannot have it both ways without living in contradiction to God or ourselves.
17 The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.
18 The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.
19 He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.
20 The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.
21 My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever. Psalm 145:17-21 (KJV)
The bible teaches us that there is a way which seems right unto a man but the way ends in destruction; bitter and sweet water do not proceed from the same well spring, neither should a person try to live a double life which oppose themselves and causes them to falter and fall. Look to Jesus the Author and the Finisher, the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.
11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 16:11 (KJV)
Lord,
Please give me the grace and the strength I need to persevere, to be obedient from my heart to do your will. Fulfill my desire to holy in heart, pure in mind, and righteous in deed. Father I fear you above all things, preserve me from evil, and deliver me from weaknesses, for you are my hope. My faith is in you Lord, my life is in your hands, you are the only true God and my salvation is only found in you. Amen!
Brethren let us keep the faith faithfully enduring the pitfalls of pride and haughtiness; let us continue to humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God; he will exalt us in the appointed time. Brethren let us put off the old man with his weight of sin which anchors us to this world and put on the new man of spirit which releases us from the dominion of the world into the authority of the word. We then shall know the true path of life, and enjoy the fullness of the presence of God; and know the true treasures which bring pure and holy pleasures forevermore! Selah!
Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
