CHRISTIAN REALITY
So many today want to feel and experience the icing and cake of life, but they seldom want to go through the process. Have you ever considered how a cake is made to be so tasty? Each ingredient has to be harvested, wheat has to be pounded into flour, sugar has to be process to boiling the cane, salt and baking soda are minerals which have to be minded and two eggs take about three days for a hen to lay. Then these ingredients are mixed together in just the right portions and poured into a baking pan to be shoved into an oven for a certain length of time to be baked at a designated high temperature of heat. Once the cake is done it is cooled then iced for consumption.
You see brethren; God knows what ingredients our lives need in the process of becoming more and more like Jesus. But in God’s bakery those ingredients are not found at the market for purchase; they are sought out and harvested through labor and toil. Jesus said “In this life there shall be tribulation; but be of good cheer I have overcome the world”. That means that all things in this life work together; or come together for the good of those whom love the Lord and have been called according to his purposes. The Lord knows just the right portion of this or that to have in our lives. He is making in us a reflection of himself and in order to do that we must needs be; go through the process.
When you think about what it takes to bake a cake and the process of mixing it by forcing it together; then putting it to the heat, and letting it cool before it is iced, it gives you a little more perspective on how God is preparing us for a life in a hostile environment. Just a thought to think upon. Selah
Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
