From the Pastor's desk.....
Good morning brothers and sisters in Christ.May the awareness of His love and grace fill your hearts to overflowing,He truly does love you!!!
Isaiah 12:1-3 says,"And in that day you will say:'O LORD,I will praise you;though you were angry with me,your anger is turned away, and you comfort me.Behold,God is my salvation,I will trust and not be afraid; For JEHOVAH,the LORD,is my strength and song;He also has become my salvation.' Therefore with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation."
The word pf the Lord for you today is...."In that day"...What day?In the day that you begin to trust the word of God that says He is no longer angry with you for your sins against Him! God Himself has settled the sin debt for us,by sending ...His only begotten Son,Jesus Christ,to pay the debt of sin for us.The entirety of the Bible is the plan of redemption devised by the Godhead from eternity past ( Peter 1:18-21 ).When the Scriptures speak of fearing the Lord, most often it is a misplaced fear. Thanks to the redeeming work of Jesus Christ,we no longer have to be afraid of God,when we trust His plan of redemption and salvation in Christ, instead of our own plan of trying to appease Him.His anger is turned away from us.God is no longer " mad " at us.The fear we should now express to God is a holy reverence for Him and what He did for us to save us.If we try to devise our own plan of redeeming ourselves,we in effect, insult God.When we reject His offer of salvation through Jesus Christ,we are saying to God that His way is not good enough. We are saying that we have a better way.My dear friends, there is no better way than Jesus Christ and him crucified. This is the plan that The Father,The Son and The Holy Spirit devised in eternity past, even before the creation of anything, this plan was already settled. You can trust and not be afraid (vs.2) of Him.He loves you more than words will ever be good enough to express. He loves you with an everlasting love (John 3:16).But here is the part I really want you to understand......(vs.3)"Therefore with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation." This is the part you need to understand. When you come to Christ as a little child, and accept Him as your Lord and Savior, and repent from sin,He will fill you with a joy.The Bible calls it joy unspeakable and full of glory.I'm not talking about happiness,I'm talking about joy. There is a difference. It's unmistakable, once you've experienced this joy you will never be able to confuse it with happiness. The joy of the Lord is your strength from then on.Water is a vital necessity of life, you must have it if you are going to live. And this Scripture is telling us that if we are going to live spiritually,we too, must have true spiritual water to sustain us.Jesus said in John 7:37-39,He was the water of life.If we are spiritually thirsty,He is the well of refreshing water that will never run dry.Drink from the fountain of living water,Jesus Christ and you will never be thirsty again. This is what the woman at the well needed to understand. This is what Jesus in fact told her.If you will but ask Him,He will give you this living water. You'll never again want the water the world offers. It is poisoned water,it cannot sustain life.Draw water from the well of salvation,Jesus Christ and live forever!.....Will today be the day that you say yes to Him and trust Him for all your needs?...or.....Will this be just another day of thirsting for that which you so desperately need but refuse to drink?...Do not procrastinate any longer,God is speaking to your heart right now. Will you accept Him into your heart?....I hope so!!!......Love in Christ...........JW
