We have such a tiny garden but we do grow some flowers and vegetables. We also put in a tiny natural pond for the frogs and keep seed and water for the birds. Though this is a small space, it is so peaceful and pretty in the summer, when things are growing and in full bloom. The other day I sat in my room and watched the birds in the garden. It was amazing. They were lined up, waiting turns at the bird feeder. One or two were at the water bowl. There were birds, waiting in the surrounding trees, on the fence and shed roof, and in the grass. The minute one would leave the feeder, another would fly in and take his place. Occasionally 2 tiny sparrows would come to the feeder together. How amazing it was to see the birds patiently wait their turn. I watched them for a long time and was happy to be able to provide just a little for these beautiful creatures that God, Himself, created and loves. I thought of the scripture that says how much God cares for the sparrows. Just imagine how much more He cares for us!
Matthew 10:29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father. 30 And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

That is really lovely, thank-you. When you mentioned about the sparrows though, it brought back a lovely memory of when my wife Sharon & I got engaged. We went to a reservoir, and from there I asked if she would marry me there. When that answer of yes came through, we spotted to sparrows sitting on the wall in front of us. We just felt God's love pouring on us at that moment.....

Hi Odelia,
There is so much wonderment in a Garden, even in a window box, the way new life is created, and even with just one flower, a tiny insect will seek it out and show it's fondness for it's scent, it's pollen, or just the comfort of it's Petal's...
