Ezra 6:1-2 King James Version (KJV)
6 Then Darius the king made a decree, and search was made in the house of the rolls, where the treasures were laid up in Babylon.
2 And there was found at Achmetha, in the palace that is in the province of the Medes, a roll, and therein was a record thus written:

6 So King Darius •gave an order[issued a decree]to search the •records [archives]kept in the treasury in Babylon. 2 A scroll was found in Ecbatana, •the capital city [or a fortress in the province] of Media[C a major component of the Persian empire in the Zagros mountains, south of the Caspian Sea]. This is what was written on it:

These are my thoughts, please share yours.
1 This was something that was done by kings sometimes the records were keep for this purpose they allowed the king to know what happened but him being Persian this shows that he is interested in how the Babylonians did things. Sometimes we have to check into things but we should always follow the Lord.
2 So the king finds something, we should not search records but search the word and God will then reveal things to us and what He shows us would be far better then what we find on our own.
