Ezra 6:8-10 King James Version (KJV)
8 Moreover I make a decree what ye shall do to the elders of these Jews for the building of this house of God: that of the king's goods, even of the tribute beyond the river, forthwith expenses be given unto these men, that they be not hindered.
9 And that which they have need of, both young bullocks, and rams, and lambs, for the burnt offerings of the God of heaven, wheat, salt, wine, and oil, according to the appointment of the priests which are at Jerusalem, let it be given them day by day without fail:
10 That they may offer sacrifices of sweet savours unto the God of heaven, and pray for the life of the king, and of his sons.

8 Also, I •order you [issue a decree] to do this for those elders of the Jews who are •building [rebuilding] this •Temple [L house]of God: The cost of the building is to be fully paid from the royal treasury, from •taxes [tribute]collected from Trans-Euphrates. Do this •so the work will not stop [or without delay]. 9 Give those people anything they need—young bulls, •male sheep [rams], or lambs for burnt offerings [Lev. 1:1–17] to the God of heaven, or wheat, salt, wine, or olive oil. Give the priests in Jerusalem anything they •ask for [require]every day without fail. 10 Then they may offer sacrifices •pleasing [acceptable] to the God of heaven, and they may pray for the •life [or welfare]of the king and his •sons [family].

8 The Jewish leaders building the temple were doing very important work and they needed to finish God saw this and this is how He made provision. God will make provision in our lives where He needs to the most. So Israel would not pay for the temple to be rebuilt it would come out of the taxes collected there is no mention of raising the taxes so they have enough but more stating that the taxes are now going to the temple.
9 They were to provide their sacrifices now we have been provided sacrifice thru Jesus and thru Him our needs are met and thru Him nothing is forgotten.
10 The king knew that he needed their prayers and that they would pray for him if he helped them, yet he would not turn from his gods to the Lord but had a middle man, our middle man is Jesus and He accounts for us before the Father but by Him we can pray to the Father.
