Acts 9:17-19 King James Version (KJV)
17 And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.
18 And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.
19 And when he had received meat, he was strengthened. Then was Saul certain days with the disciples which were at Damascus.

17 Ananias accepts his purpose and even though he may be in fear is there to do it as the Lord him to. Even if we have fear we should do what the Lord asks us to do. Paul was going to be a new man for Christ and Ananias was going to be used for that to happen. We never know what stepping out in faith may let us be used by the world.
18 Ananias also baptized him, this could mean he received the Holy Spirit but I believe he received both the Holy Spirit and was baptized with water.
19 Paul wanted to learn more grow more so he gathered around the same people he planed to bring to their death for the faith he hated but now had.
