Acts 9:38-39 King James Version (KJV)
38 And forasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not delay to come to them.
39 Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them.
Acts 9:38-39 New King James Version (NKJV)
38 And since Lydda was near Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent two men to him, imploring him not to delay in coming to them. 39 Then Peter arose and went with them. When he had come, they brought him to the upper room. And all the widows stood by him weeping, showing the tunics and garments which Dorcas had made while she was with them.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.
38 They went to Peter, the disciple the man who Jesus worked thru and called by Him. They believed that Peter thru Jesus could heal her.
39 They did this because she was dead but doing this also showed lack of faith on their part but up to this point only Jesus raised people from the dead after this only Jesus raised people from the dead but this time He uses Peter to do so.
