Acts 10:26-28 King James Version (KJV)
26 But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.
27 And as he talked with him, he went in, and found many that were come together.
28 And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.
Acts 10:26-28 New King James Version (NKJV)
26 But Peter lifted him up, saying, “Stand up; I myself am also a man.” 27 And as he talked with him, he went in and found many who had come together. 28 Then he said to them, “You know how unlawful it is for a Jewish man to keep company with or go to one of another nation. But God has shown me that I should not call any man common or unclean.

26 Peter wasn’t to be worshiped, Peter wanted to encourage and lead people to worship Jesus not for them to come to worship him.
27 They had come together in faith in the Lord. The Lord had been working there.
28 This is big for Peter, Peter’s viewpoint would not have changed if it hadn’t been changed by the Lord. This vision would further split the Jews from the Christians. This would allow Gentiles to come to faith without first becoming Jewish.
