Numbers 23:24-25 King James Version (KJV)
24 Behold, the people shall rise up as a great lion, and lift up himself as a young lion: he shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, and drink the blood of the slain.
25 And Balak said unto Balaam, Neither curse them at all, nor bless them at all.
Numbers 23:24-25 International Standard Version (ISV)
24 Look! The people are like lions.
Like the lion, he rises up!
He does not lie down again
until he has consumed his prey
and drunk the blood of the slain.”
25 Then Balak told Balaam, “Don’t curse them or bless them!”

24 Lions are vicious and mighty and this is what they were. Jesus is our lion of Judah. Lions also symbolize royalty. Lions eat a lot each day and they hunt until they get their fill.
25 It would have been wise to bless Israel and foolish to curse them because of God’s covenant with them. God promised to bless those that bless them and curse those that curse them.
