Good Evening everyone. I thought I would come in here and ask who all does Bible Journalin?
Well if you do not know about it or have yet to try it I am here to show you, and hope that you will join me..
I find it peaceful to Journal, Now I am no expert in it, I am kinda new to it but I thought I would share what I do, and if you do do it, please share how you do it..There are so many different ways...
I myself DO NOT Paint, or scribble all in my Bible. I do highlight, and take notes. I know some out there paint on all the pages to me that is messing up a BEAUTIFUL Book and most of all scribbling on GOD's words.
Okay enough babbling :-)
Okay when I was telling my DH about it he asked what all I needed? did I need a lot?
I told him NOPE
Make do with whatever Bible and supplies you have or can afford. ♥
I actually got all my supplies minus my Bible at the dollar tree.
I use:
Stickers($Tree
Washi Tape ($Tree
Colored pens ($Tree
Crayola Twistables (Walmart
colored pencils (I had
Composition notebook ($Tree
My Card stock and scrap booking paper (thrift store :-)
tape ($Tree
scissors (I had
BIBLE (Mardell's
Highlighters ($Tree
Stamps (Wish site & thrift stores
Ink Pad(Thrift store
Now there is NO right way or wrong way to do this. Let your imagination go
I simple use a composition note book that I fix up the cover . I tore up scrap booking paper, used Modge Pod to place all over, took glitter washi tape to out line it. Cross sticker I got from walmart, Then to make sure it did not peal off I used packaging tape all over it after it dried...
Now in My Bible journalin I may do a scripture that sticks out
I do this Every Saturday
Or I will do a Study in it.
I Love to use stickers, and washi tape to kind of pretty it up.
If I am doing a study book I will add that into my journal.
I just finished FERVENT(If you have not read it, WOW! It is AWESOME, a must read.
Journalin it helps focus my easily distracted mind
It allows me time and space to understand, meditate, with the scripture
It gives me an opportunity to be creative
It combines mind with body movement
It forces me to be still- that’s a big deal, lol!
It helps me practice letting go of unnecessary standards of perfection and focus on giving thanks to God instead.
So if you have not tried it, I encourage you to at least try it :-)
So if you would like to jump on board, I will be doing another cover for one, well actually my 7th Journal, and will share photos of me fixing it up and starting it off.
