WALK BY THE SPIRIT:
Many times we allow hardships to slowly drain our faith in God and give into emotions caused by them. It happens to us all at one time or another! I will echo the words of Jesus “have faith in God”. Refuse to limit our unlimited God; he is a prayer answering God and will not leave us without hope. He is a personal God who is more than willing to communicate with his children.
Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. (Jer 33:3)
When we allow our emotions to drive us to desperation it hinders our ability to hear the voice of God in prayer. We become impatient dulling our hearing in the spirit. God is a Spirit and when we seek him it should be in worshipful jubilation. Worship is the gateway to the peace setting presence of God.
Many times people forget that we are a new dynamic spirit reborn by the quickening of resurrection power. We should walk by the Spirit which now guides us and shows us things to come. The flesh or carnal inclinations of the old nature will always default to emotional reactions instead of spiritual responses. God is a Spirit and we are born of the Spirit and washed in the blood of Jesus; empowered to overcome the things which befall us in this life. One of the stabilizing scriptures which is an anchor for me is Romans 8:28 “and we know all things work together for the good of those who love God and are the called according to his purposes”.
We have hope in this life through the security that the scriptures give us. One of the aspects of the fruit of the Spirit is key to our spiritual maturity and peace filled security. That aspect is patience and patience which is maintained is a virtue that maintains our calm in the face of the storms of life. We are children of the Most High God and there is no reason for us to come unglued when trying times come our way. We can stand in the shadow of the Almighty and under pavilion of safety knowing that God is able to turn the tide back and deliver us from all harm.
Brethren let us go unto the Lord today boldly with faith that moves mountains! Let us go with praise on our lips and worship in our heart. Let us adore the Lord with gladness and rejoice for he is our hope! There is no other God and He is a rewarder of those who believe in Him not only in word but also in deed. Brethren I beseech you to walk in the Spirit and you shall be more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus! Selah
