Think About it!
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:2)
I (me, myself) there is a lot of (me, myself, & I) in Christianity today. The truth about living for Christ is living in Christ and Christ expressing himself through his children. A gospel that is all about (me) is not the gospel of Christ Jesus! We are new creations born in the image of Christ. If one is a new creation they’re not reinventing themselves; they’re new born spiritual babes beginning a spiritual journey which leads to being more like Jesus. Brethren there are so many who preach and teach another gospel based upon self-ism and not Christ-ism. Jesus is not a life coach guru teaching principles to make us a better (me, myself, & I). He is the author and finisher of our faith preaching, teaching, and guiding us into all truth. When we allow ourselves to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ; we become more Christ-like in all we think, say, and do.
Yes we are temples of the Holy Spirit and when we sin against our temple we inadvertently sin against God. When we strive for spiritual maturity we will love our spiritual selves because we are cast in the image of Christ and loving Christ is part and parcel of our new selves. Brethren let us mediate day and night upon the things of God and life will be enhancing. When we worship the Lord in spirit and truth the residuals of that worship will enhance us spiritually. Selah
Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
