Got God Sense?
(7) Don’t be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
(8) For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
(9) Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up. Galatians 6:7-9
God authored the dynamic of “reap what you sow”; yet many don’t understand that the innocent usually are part of that reaping process; it can be a blessing or a curse. Word meditation is preparation for how to respond or react.
(19) So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger;
(20) for the anger of man doesn’t produce the righteousness of God.
(21) Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
(22) But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves. James 1:19-22
God has given us a brain to develop a mindset of godliness in response to life’s unplanned events which conflict with our biblical world view; don’t allow life events to cause you to default to a carnal reaction; but contrariwise to the response of the spirit-man. Thus we become doers not just hearers of the living word of God.
When we sow to the flesh we shall reap a whirlwind and that whirlwind devastates not only us personally, but brings the ramifications of those consequences to the harm of others as well. Think before we speak or act out in anger; do the biblical and spiritual to underlying the righteousness of God. Let us sow to reap a blessing by sowing to the Spirit. Selah!
Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
