Stand and Declare the Word of the Lord Regardless of the Consequences
Concerning the issue of healing the beggar at the gate Beautiful! Peter and John when they had to face the Sadducees Sanhedrin with the High Priest there to make a judgement concerning the healing they were bold in the Spirit and did not detour from the fact that in the Name of Jesus the beggar being over forty years old was healed and present.
(8) Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,
(9) If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;
(10) Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
(11) This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
(12) Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts of the Apostle 4:8-12
Brethren are we so bold to contend with the religious, the rebellious, and the repugnant when it comes to what Christ has done through his ministry and the men and women whom are anointed to do it. Are we ready to defend the life, death, and resurrection of Christ against the throng of evil doers who proclaim they do the Lord’s work when in reality they serve their master the devil? I declare unto you they spiritually crucify Jesus with their murderous spirits who hate the work of God being done through signs, wonders, and the miraculous. They’re no more than decorated graves full of death, destruction, and corruption. How bold do we need to be today? Peter and John have the answer!
(18) And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all, nor teach in the name of Jesus.
(19) But Peter and John answered and said to them, Whether it is right in the sight of God to hearken to you rather than to God, judge ye.
(20) For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard. Acts of the Apostles 4:18-20
Peter and John held fast to the words of Jesus and the anointing increased and the infilling of the Spirit made them bolder! We find them going to the brethren with the report of what had been done and the warnings of the Sanhedrin; but they were encouraged not discouraged to do more and they prayed for the boldness and the opportunity to accomplish the Will of the Word!
(28) To do whatever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.
(29) And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant to thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,
(30) By stretching forth thy hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.
(31) And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness. Acts of the Apostles 4:28-31
Brethren this message is relevant to many modern issues when it comes to the religious, the rebellious, and the repugnant concerning the working of the Lord through his servants today. There are many issues which the anointed of the Lord should also confront concerning the moral issues of modernity. Jesus would put it like this if he were here in person; Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand! Selah
Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
